Demand Unit Numbers of Arc Welding Robot/Spot Welding Robot in 2019 (Calendar Year) in the World Are Predicted To Become 35,340 Units (Up By 7.7 % Over the Previous Year) in Arc Welding Robots and 47,760 Units (Up by 6 % Over the Previous Year) in Spot Welding Robots Respectively

　In the world welding industry, the introduction and the application of arc welding robots as well as spot resistance welding robots (hereinafter referred to as spot welding robots) are expanding year after year.
　This is due to the major factors such as a lack of welding technicians, among others, a lack of skilled welding workers, aging, etc. along with the streamlining of welding process, labor savings, automation and high quality, etc. in the whole world. Then, at present, considering the fact that the welding operation has been performed by manual welding using “covered electrodes” has occupied the share by approx. 31.7% in the entire world in 2018 (Refer to “Covered electrodes” in the volume of Welding Consumables “2019 Welding MART” published by our marketing magazine), and further, considering that there are many welding technicians who are using welding wires, there would be no doubt that the introduction of welding robots will advance year after year in the future too.
